menu

status
beacon
when
it
appears
on
a
DB2
window.
On
the
Tools
Settings
window,
you
can
configure
this
beacon
to
appear
on
every
DB2
window
whenever
an
alert
occurs.
Use
the
Health
Center
to
monitor
the
state
of
the
database
environment
and
make
any
necessary
changes.
When
you
use
DB2,
a
health
monitor
continuously
monitors
a
set
of
health
indicators.
If
the
current
value
of
a
health
indicator
is
outside
the
acceptable
operating
range
defined
by
its
warning
and
alarm
thresholds,
the
health
monitor
generates
a
health
alert.
DB2
comes
with
a
set
of
predefined
threshold
values,
which
you
can
later
customize.
For
example,
you
can
customize
the
alarm
and
warning
thresholds
for
the
amount
of
space
used
in
a
table
space.
